-love your drawings, but maybe u could improve your colour scheme? haha~ -overall idea of this storage device great, but could be better if the different levels can be pulled out...rearranged...etc. -if you had intended this to be a furniture, it would of been great to see sitting surfaces, working surfaces incorporated in your design.
The idea of using pixels as a form for your device is quite well thought out. The reasoning behind this is quite unique; a pixel as a starting point to information collection. I could clearly comprehend your idea and the principles behind those ideas. The flexibility of your storage device is in a sense, not very functional, but I'm still interested as to how would truly function. The idea of randomly storing your "junk" is appealing to me as it would act as a fast method of "dumping" ideas. The fast and random method of storing your junk does indicate your understanding of Lila: An Inquiry into Morals by Robert M. Pirsig (the reading).
However, the idea of medieval carnival are not conveyed in an easy-to-read manner. The idea of balance within struggle and chaos seams to be lost in your design. All I see to your device is chaos. In addition, there could have been further refinements in your design. Did you think of your device as a piece of furniture? maybe a desk surface? A seating area? Not just an object in it's situated environment perhaps? Did you think of making it compact? Not as a massive piece of work? Also, how would I retrieve my junk if it was placed in the center of the device? Would it be user friendly?
Your drawings convey quite detailed aspects of your design; especially in the perspective depiction of your device. The storing and retrieving function of your "trashcan" is clearly communicated through a visual interpretation of the physical model (which was quite precisely constructed).
Liked the modular idea and the idea of using ur old project and 'recycling' it as a fresh, whole new perspective ^_^
further possible developments could be transforming the shape and integrating the idea of the 'trashcan' idea more into the design and also incorporating ideas of functionality.
